Iron Soul Dungeon Forge Guide: Ore, Quality, Timing

Choose the weapon category first, use enough ore for its listed success rate, and favor higher-level materials over a pile of weak ore. Keep ore types consistent when you want a predictable result, then hit the orange timing area during the hammer minigame. The minigame can preserve a good material setup, but it cannot turn poor inputs into a top-quality craft.

What the sources verify

The community forging reference lists Light at 3 ore for 100%, Staff at 10 for 80%, and Heavy at 16 for 100%. Armor costs in the same reference are 3 for a Light helmet, 10 for a Light breastplate, 15 for a Heavy helmet, and 22 for a Heavy breastplate at their stated rates. The forge flow is to select ore, place it in the forge, press Forge, and strike while the hammer indicator is over the orange area.

How to use this information

Use one ore type when you need a stable output pool because mixing materials can change the possible weapon result. Documented community mixes include Witherite with Eye of Evil at 2:1 and Earthmaw with Voidstar at 2:1, but these are recipes, not official guarantees. If materials are scarce, rerolling Light weapons is cheaper than repeatedly crafting Heavy weapons because the listed ore requirement is much lower.

Version notes and pending confirmation

At least half Mythic ore is reported as necessary for Mythic quality, but this rule is community-documented and may change. Specific multiplier targets such as 38.18 or 71% came from one older guide and are examples rather than current requirements. Scythe, Bow, and Fist recipes are not covered by the Light, Staff, and Heavy cost table; their exact inputs remain Pending confirmation.

Frequently asked questions

Does more ore always make a better weapon?+

No. Ore level, quality, mixture, forge timing, and the resulting multiplier all matter.

Can the minigame raise material quality?+

The collected evidence says poor timing can lower the result, while perfect timing cannot exceed the quality supported by the input materials.
